NFL and College football are at their top for sponsorships but can still have more. Their sponsorships are all over their stadiums but can still have more for example they can sell sponsors on their jerseys other then the name brand of the jersey. They can put a Motorola on the sleeve and a Bud Light logo on the pants or helmet. The Field has the NFL logo but can put more around the sidelines or twenty or twenty five yard line. Sports marketing will grow in the future for the NFL by having live broadcast games online with advertisements. College their are some stadiums with sponsors as name of their stadium and bowl games but they can also put more around their stadium and field.

Economy will effect the profit for stadium tickets sales and profit in the stadium. Right now the MLB teams like the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees are below average attendants then normal. One reason is the weather, yes its cold and been raining a lot lately but this never stop average attendants before. With the price of gas at $3.90's most place here in Ohio, people are not going to travel to the ballpark. Economy plays a big role making money at the stadium. Who wants to go to a game when they can watch it inside their homes on a 48" HDTV? It's hard to say no to that. Watching it live in person will always be fun and the experience is the greatest but with economy bad and people saving money its better to stay home right now.

Madden 2012 Cover

The winner of the Madden cover contest voted by the fans was announced today. Finals were Michael Vick from Philadelphia Eagles vs Peyton Hillis from Cleveland Browns. With a 66% vote Hillis won and will become the first Browns player on the Madden cover. Madden cover has a "curse" around it, it seems like every year whoever is on the Madden cover will get hurt the next season. Vick was on it in 04' and broke his leg in a preseason game, in 09' Brett Favre was on the cover and by the time it was released he was traded to the New York Jets, 10' had Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu which both had ankle injuries.In an ESPN.com chat Hillis said he's not afraid of the "Madden Curse." He went on saying "For people to believe in this so-called curse, I can't wait to prove people wrong," Hillis said. "From what I believe and where I am in my spiritual life, it would be good to prove them wrong in that sense." Hillis seems not to be afraid of this "Madden Curse" and sounds like he wants to show people its not try and he deserves the cover and help the Browns win and get to the playoffs.

Michael Phelps Sponers

Michael Phelps one of the best Olympic swimmers ever, won eight gold medals at Beijing and 14 total gold medals. His main sponsors were Kellogg's and Speedo. One day at a college party there was a picture taken of Phelps smoking marijuana he lost Kellogg's and some other smaller endorsements. Kellogg's is a cereal company that are for kids and they dropped him as soon as the story hit the press. Kellogg's do not want someone that kids are surprise to look up as a hero or grow up to be like on their cereal if he's doing drugs or something wrong. If they would have kept Phelps makes it look bad on them and parents would not buy their cereal because of Phelps. Speedo kept their endorsements with Phelps because its not base on children and are more of a adult item. After everything went away speedo will still make more having Phelps then not having him and some no name swimmer.

Stadium Signage

Stadium sign age's can be anywhere around the stadium from the floor or field to the scoreboard. Closer to the playing field more expensive the sponsor is. Sponsors for the naming of the stadium is going to cost more then a logo on the scoreboard. Honda Center sign a contract in 2006 for 15 years and opportunity for a 10 year extension. You can see many advertisement around the stadium like Beer, Nike, Motorola, and many more.

Sizemore Returns, Goes Deep!!! Indians Win!!!!

Grady Sizemore of the Cleveland Indians returns after micro fracture knee
surgery 11 months ago. Sizemore's second at bat goes yard over the right field wall for a home run. Sizemore went 2-4 with that homer and a double.


“I just wanted to go up there, have good at-bats, help the team and get a win,” Sizemore said. “I was definitely nervous.”


If he was nervous he did not show any, the fans cheer their loudest when he was announced. Sizemore also got some help while Travis Hafner and Carlos Santana both got home runs helping the Indians win their 11th game of the year and sweeping Baltimore Orioles.Indians get there third sweep of the year sweeping the Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners earlier in the season. Indians are in first place in the American League Central Division.

Indians go to Kansas City Royals tomorrow for a four game series then at Minnesota Twins for three games.
